It appears that toxicity in Rajasthan's waters has reached a point where Jaipur has ended up having a Bengaluru-like situation with foam coming out of water bodies.

However, in Jaipur's case, it is a drain that has released frothy water full of chemicals and effluents. In Bengaluru, the dirty water was the result of overpollution of the Bellandur Lake.

Foam is formed due to heavy metals in water, and exposure to this results in skin diseases. Further exposure can resulted in further health complications.

The frothy water has overflowed from the drain onto the road, which has resulted in traffic snarls in Sector 35 of Sanganer in the Pink City.

According to reports, a portion of the drainage system is connected to the Central River Project that recycles water and supplies the clean water back to the drain. The project, which now needs a major inspection, has cost the Rajasthan government Rs 2,500 crore.

While the foam has come onto the city, people have been taking pictures and claiming that it 'has snowed in Jaipur.'
