Shama shot to fame with the 2003 Television show Yeh Meri Life Hai. The actress previously grabbed a lot of eyeballs for her character in Vikram Bhatt's web series Maaya, based on BDSM.
Just like many other actresses, Shama too had to bear the brunt of sharing 'revealing' pictures in swimwear. But over the time, she's also learnt how to tackle the trolls and doesn't give a damn about what naysayers comment on her pictures. When the trolls get on her nerves, she also knows how to shut them down!

Speaking about the concept of Ab Dil Ki Sun, Shama had told IANS, "I play myself and everyone... I am you and me and everyone living in this world. It's more like an open conversation rather I would say. The whole idea is to bring people's attention to these illnesses and the reasons behind depression."
