Brave jawan, paratrooper Mukut Bihari Meena’s mortal remains arrived at the Jaipur Airport on Friday where representatives of the Armed Forces and the Rajasthan government paid homage to him and bid him final farewell.
Defence sources said that GOC in chief, South Western Command, Lieutenant General Cherish Mathson and chief minister Vasundhara Raje were among those who paid homage to the departed soul.
Chief Minister Raje offered her tributes to the braveheart by laying a wreath in recognition of his services to the nation, sources said. Her cabinet colleague Yunus Khan, Member of Parliament from Jaipur, Ramcharan Bohra and Jaipur mayor Ashok Lahoti were among those who arrived at the airport to pay their respect to the martyr.
