A 45-year-old woman got her son murdered with the help of contract killers after he objected to the woman's practice of certain rituals and the alleged relationship with a tantrik in Luharli village of Dadri on June 18. Police arrested five persons, including the tantrik, woman and her son-in-law for the murder on Friday. Police said the deal for murder was made for Rs 35,000.
According to the police, the accused have been identified as Suresh Devi, Kanhaiya, Sachin, Amit and Sitender.
Police said the incident took place on June 18 after the body of deceased Anshul was found in the bushes in Kot village of Dadri with finger marks on his neck. The body was sent for post-mortem and it was revealed that the cause of death was choking. A case of murder was registered against unknown persons and investigation was taken up.
Upon investigating, police revealed that Suresh Devi, deceased's mother, plotted the murder of her own son along with her son-in-law, occultist and two other hired contract killers. The deal for the murder was made for Rs 35,000.
"Based on the investigations and interrogating the arrested persons, it was revealed that the woman had an illicit relationship with an occultist. The occultist used to often visit the lady at her house. The boy often fought with his mother whenever the occultist visited his house.
